We tried to pick a camp site, but ended up having to leave. Here\u2019s the story:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While putting money into the collection box, Eric, outside the van, heard some screaming. He kind of ignored it, thinking it was maybe some kids up by the road. When they got to a campsite, he heard it again while opening up the door. He stopped to listen, and Sarah, not being able to hear from inside the car, got spooked by Eric\u2019s sudden pause (but thought he was messing with her). Then, she leaned out the vehicle and heard the most agonizing screams followed by \u201cI\u2019m in pain\u201d. We looked at each other and immediately started hightailing it out of there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, we locked up and went to drive off and we forgot our camp table near some bushes, so we had to go back for it in the pitch dark. Sarah was brave and jumped out to get it (Note: Sarah was terrified), and we sped off. However:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the way out, a car came blazing into the park, followed by a tall youngish guy sprinting behind. Then, that guy made a hard left straight into the bushes out of sight. Another car came peeling in behind him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/videos.files.wordpress.com\/1zSyrr5T\/img_9149-2.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We didn\u2019t stick around to find out what was going on, so we just went to try to find a new place to stay.
