Not the beach day we were expecting but, still a lovely view from the comfort of our hotel room.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We woke up and the weather was terrible, so we donned all our rain gear and walked into town for breakfast\/lunch. We saw what looked like a good grill stand, with lots of good fish, so we sat down. We both ordered Tom Kai Gai, a grilled salt fish, and mango sticky rice. The fish was amazingly cooked, and the sticky rice was good. The chicken soup was kind of weird compared to other versions of the dish we’d had, but it grew on us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s about the most exciting thing that happened to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was nice to get a full-nights rest with no plans whatsoever.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We also took a nap. Then went for a walk on the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After our nap we left the hotel to take a walk on the beach and watch the sunset.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We sat on the beach and ate mango for a bit, but then decided to watch the sunset from the comfort of our room. When we got back to the hotel, we discovered that, not only did we have a balcony overlooking the beach (which we knew about), but also a shower!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eric is actually wearing shorts in this but thought this would be funnier.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The shower had shutters that opened up to the beach. Which would have been cool, except it looked directly down on the path from the hotel to the beach (and the lower edge was at around knee level). So unfortunately we couldn\u2019t enjoy the beach views much\u2014but it was entertaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For dinner, Sarah really wanted a burger, so we want to a place called \u201cMillionaire Burger\u201d, which was actually really good. It was run by an Australian guy who thought for just a second that we were Australian. Nice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we grabbed more roti, picked up some beer from 7-11, and headed back to enjoy the balcony some more. Then we decided to watch some Black Mirror, which Eric had never seen before while we worked a little on the blog. And that\u2019s pretty much it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We got to sleep for our not-so-early day in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
